Vincent and his family, originally from Chicago and Northeast Ohio, have been coming down to Florida’s Gulf Coast for more than 25 years. It has always been his second home. With children off to college, he decided to make it permanent and moved from Northeast Ohio to Sarasota in 2013.
Vince began his career as an account representative for the Oberlin News-Tribune group in Lorain County Ohio, and then took a regional manager position for one of the largest greenhouse operations in North America. He transitioned from sales to the sister company, Express Seed, to work as a technician in the seed technology laboratory. Vince then went on to become the proprietor of a wholesale/retail operation for more than a decade. “Running a business allowed me to refine my marketing and sales skills, and get hands on experience in business development,” says Vince.
Since his arrival in Sarasota, Vincent has worked as an events coordinator giving him the opportunity to establish a network within the hospitality and tourism industries. Vince goes on to say, “When I received word that there was an opportunity to represent Sarasota and Florida for Sunny Day Guide, it seemed like the perfect partnership.”
Vincent received his bachelor's degree from John Carroll University where he served as president of Alpha Kappa Psi, the national professional business fraternity. He is currently a member of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, a non-profit organization located on Sarasota Bay.
